Steve was settling in for another cold winter, everyone was out of Hawkins visiting family for the holidays. He laid in bed watching the snow fall softly out his window clutching the denim vest. A single red bulb, glowing brighter than the rest, and then. On. Off. On. Off. On. Off. SOS. The Christmas lights wanted to bring another lost boy home.

What started as a joke to take down Emporer Steve, in effect murdering Eddie's crush on him becomes an effort to make the King blush through all holiday seasons.

me as a child, considering whether my parents are right about me being incapable and worthless: but would anyone in the world be saying those things with such confidence and conviction if they're not even true? Would they be screaming it in such justified rage if it wasn't factual? How would anyone be willing or able to shout these things if they weren't sure they're correct? Wouldn't it be embarrassing if they were going at it with such intensity and it turned out they were wrong? Would they be willing to risk being wrong like this?
